Loch Lomond resort acquired by Harrison Holidays

Harrison Holidays has acquired Ardlui Hotel, Marina and Holiday Park on Loch Lomond in Scotland in a £7 million takeover deal, following the retirement of the estate’s owners.

Ardlui Hotel, Marina and Holiday Park sits in the Trossachs National Park at Loch Lomond, and encompasses a 10-bedroom hotel, marina, self catering lodges, camping facilities and watersports.

Owned and operated by the Squires Family since 1959. the estate covers 11 acres. The marina lies on the north shores of Loch Lomond and offers 26 moorings, including swinging moorings, floating pontoons and boatyard. Other facilities include a 20-tonne travel hoist, a slipway, trailer and boat storage, hull maintenance, floating fuel pontoon, pump out station, boat hire, and ferry from the West Highland Way. The site includes boat sales and brokerage departments.

Watersports offered on site include wakeboarding, water skiing, speedboat tours, surfing and kayaking. A floating pier provides water, electric hook-ups and access to the hotel’s bar and restaurant.

Harrison Holidays owns and manages nine coast and country holiday parks in the UK, from Scotland to Suffolk, offering caravans, lodges and glamping pods.

Based in Preston, Harrison Holidays was established in the 1970s by George Harrison, with his sons George, William and Robert now also involved.

William Harrison, Director at Harrison Holidays, said:

Following the acquisition, the company, which is part of the Harrison Leisure Group, is planning refurbishment and expansion at the Loch Lomond site, including expanding the marina to accommodate additional vessels.
