Winch specialist Atlas Winch & Hoist Services Limited has announced the acquisition of its sister company Atlas Winch & Hoist Services (Southern) Ltd.
Atlas Winch & Hoist Services Limited, based in Scotland, specialises in winches and lifting equipment. Founded by Denis Lavery in the 1990s it services the marine industry alongside sectors including oil and gas, construction, engineering and renewables. The company has strong links with the utilities industry, providing cable and pipe pulling winches, cable drum trailers and cable drum handling solutions.
Essex-based Atlas Winch & Hoist Services (Southern) Ltd has been run by Denis Lavery’s brother Anton and his wife Louise since 2002, with the business investing heavily in plant, equipment and facilities at its premises near Great Dunmow.
Denis Lavery said:

It is planned that Anton will retain some involvement at board level for both businesses going forward. He commented:
