Clements Engineering, based in Little Staughton, Bedfordshire, designs and manufactures obespoke propulsion engineering solutions, including marine propellers, marine shafts, sterntube assemblies and ancillary equipment for small-to-medium-sized leisure and commercial vessels.
Trading for over 40 years, it supplies a wide range of small-to-medium-sized vessels with patterns, castings and machine-finished products from its foundry and workshop, which are delivered to customers globally. Products include propellers, bearings, rudders and shaft couplings.

Williams will remain as a consultant during the transition period.
Since 1935 SLX Group has been stocking and supplying marine and industrial components and providing engineering services worldwide.
Jointly owned by Directors Justin Brooking, Adrian Patterson and Marcus Poole, the current configuration of the group includes Simplex Turbulo Co and STW Engineering GmbH as the main trading companies operating the British and German warehouse hubs, with engine and marine spares as the principal product lines, together with filtration, condition-based maintenance and safety equipment.

SLX Group takes on sole ownership of Clements Engineering, who will continue operating from its Bedfordshire facility with its full team, ensuring continuity for customers.
SLX Group plans targeted investment to expand capacity, enhance production technologies and extend the reach of Clements Engineering’s products across domestic and international markets.
