Caribbean yachting was founded in Antigua in the late 1940s and the island still remains its centre both due to its convenient location at the head of the Leeward Islands and the major airline hub in the Caribbean.

Renowned for its regattas and yachting events together with its significant super yacht dockage serving the charter yacht market, about one third of Antigua’s economy is dependent upon the marine industry. Numerous small and large business have grown up around the yachts of all sizes which visit Antigua, some basing themselves on the island for the whole of the November to May season.

Seagull Inflatables was founded in the 1990s but was acquired by the current owners in 2005 and substantially expanded to its present size to meet increasing demand necessitating a move to new and larger premises in 2016. The business comprises the sales, servicing and certification of life rafts, fire extinguishers, safety equipment, dinghies, tenders, outboards, fenders, and covers for boats and pontoons. Seagull Inflatables are agents for Evinrude and Honda and also sells second hand boats.

The premises situated on a .56-acre freehold site on which the company erected 1730 square feet building comprising workshops, offices and sales area. The original plans show an additional 1000 sq. ft. of covered space allowing for future expansion. Outside are large parking areas and space for the storage and maintenance of boats and trailers.

For sale at US $695,000 inclusive of inventory. The business may be purchased with a ten-year lease on the premises and land. Alternatively, the freehold is available at US$495,000 in addition to the business. The freehold is not available separately.

The vendors will work with the purchasers during a reasonable handover period.
