Company: Lalizas, Revere Survival
Business Type: Marine Safety Solutions / Search and Rescue
This latest acquisition from former owners Alliance Marine follows the purchase of Lalizas/Alexander in Houston and Houma, LA (former Alexander/Ryan Marine & Safety). Alliance Marine’s focus is on the European survival equipment market moving forward.
Revere Survival Products, founded in 1936 as the Sculler Corporation based in New York City, manufactures and distributes survival equipment to meet all recreational and commercial needs and is based in Jacksonville, Florida. The first product developed was a line-throwing cannon and, during World War II, the Sculler Corporation distributed balsa wood life floats and personal floatation devices to aid in the war efforts. Today the full line of products includes life rafts, inflatable life jackets, beacons, pyrotechnics, and man-overboard rescue systems.
Lalizas, founded by Stavros Lalizas in Greece in 1982, manufactures and distributes over 10.000 products of marine accessories, safety equipment and miscellaneous items directly related to maritime companies, ship suppliers, chandleries, marine stores, shipyards and boat builders. Products include immersion suits, lifejackets, safety harnesses, inflatable boats, and hatches.
Stavros Lalizas, Founder & CEO of Lalizas, said:
“The acquisition of Revere aligns perfectly with our strategic vision and will enable us to enhance our product offerings, expand our market reach, and strengthen our position in the US market. As we move forward with the integration process, our top priority remains ensuring a seamless transition for our employees, suppliers and customers.
“We are committed to exploring synergies and maintaining the high standards of quality and service that our companies are known for, while also exploring new ways to drive success.”
