Company: D-Marin
Business Type: Marina Operator
D-Marin is partnering with Marinas del Mediterráneo to bring its expertise to three marinas along the Costa del Sol: Puerto Deportivo de Estepona, Puerto Marina La Duquesa and Puerto Marina del Este, which have a combined total of over 1,000 berths.
The announcement comes only months after D-Marin entered the Italian market with its acquisition of Punta Faro Marina near Venice.
D-Marin, founded in 2003 to offer services in marina management and development, currently operates 16 marinas across six countries (Greece, Turkey, UAE, Montenegro, Croatia and Italy) with almost 10,000 berths and dry dock facilities that can accommodate over 2,000 vessels.
Oliver Dörschuck, D-Marin’s CEO, said:
“We’re delighted to be forming this new partnership with Marinas del Mediterráneo, and are looking forward to bringing the D-Marin experience to our new customers across the Western Mediterranean.
“We are committed to investing in the marinas to ensure we deliver the very best customer experiences in some of the finest locations for them to enjoy their leisure time.”
The new marinas will benefit from D-Marin’s investment of over €10 million into digital technology and innovation, in what the company calls a “milestone in our strategy to expand into the Western Mediterranean”.
Jose Carlos Martin, Founder at Marinas del Mediterráneo, commented:
“Partnering with D-Marin was an easy decision for us as we are very aligned in our desire to exceed our customers’ expectations, especially in digital capabilities, thereby becoming part of the international D-Marin sales network.
“Welcoming D-Marin to Spain and working together for our customers’ benefit is our key focus now and for many years to come.”
