Operating on the Llangollen Canal, visitors to the wharf which includes school and corporate groups, can chose from either a relaxing horse drawn boat trip of 45-minutes or 2-hours in duration, a 5-mile motorised boat trip across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is also an option. The business owns two purpose-built 32’ self-steer day boats which are available for hire, each accommodating groups of up to 10 passengers.

Themed boat trips are operated throughout the year which are extremely popular, especially with coach parties, with many coach tour operators featuring Llangollen Wharf as a profiled destination. Standard schedule boat trips run every 30 minutes in peak season or 60 minutes at all other times and are available to book via the online booking system on the Llangollen Wharf website. Private charter bookings are also available for groups of between 20 and 52 passengers.

The wharf giftshop sells attraction mementos and waterways related items and the tearoom serves traditional homemade fare including breakfasts, lunches, cream teas, ice-creams and takeaway food.
