Sunpower Yachts International has acquired Alva Yachts, strengthening Sunpower Yachts’ position in the solar electric yacht industry.
Sunpower Yachts International was founded in 2018 and is a global leader in luxury solar-electric yachts, pioneering eco-friendly, self-sufficient vessels. Series include the Solar-e Cruiser, Solar-e Sail, Solar-e Poweryacht, and Solar-e Superyacht, and its work involves researching sustainable solar electric propulsion system and drive chain solutions.
Based in Australia, with operations expanding across Europe, USA, North America, Australia/Asia and key yachting hubs worldwide, it boasts the world’s largest fleet of eco-friendly craft, including catamarans. The company has lead the development of new technologies, including its Solar Roof System, and is committed to minimising the environmental impact of lithium ion-batteries.
