Electric boat manufacturer X Shore under new ownership
X Shore, the Swedish electric boat manufacturer, is under new ownership and fully operational.
According to its press release, it is “a focused organization with the financial backing needed to move forward properly. This period has been about stabilizing the business, now the focus is on execution”.
Founded 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden, X Shore produced its first prototype of the Eelex 8000 in 2017, before opening its 15,000m2 factory in Nyköping in 2021.
The 6.5 metre X Shore 1 was launched in 2022, with the X Shore PRO following in 2023.
The company now produced three boat models – the X Shore 1, the Eelex 8000 and the X Shore PRO.
They are powered by dual 63 kWh (126kWh) lithium-ion batteries from Kriesel, sustainably produced in Austria. The electric motor offers outstanding acceleration and speed, reaching 30 knots and a total distance of up to 100 nautical miles in lower speeds of 5-7 knots.
The press release continues: “We have a clear and aligned vision, an operating structure in place, which ensures the stability needed to propel X Shore towards a legacy brand. The production at our facility in Nyköping is fully operational.
“Service and parts will be available on a structured basis. This is important. We intend to support you now, and in the years ahead.
“We are building the business on a more sustainable and commercially sound foundation, with owners with the financial strength to support not just short term but long-term growth.”
