FHG Marine Engineering Inc. acquires Scott Marine Power

FHG Marine Engineering has acquired Scott Marine Power (SMP), leveraging the combined capabilities of both organisations to enhance service, expand technical resources and strengthen support across South Florida and beyond.

Scott Marine Power is an authorised sales and service dealer for MAN, Yanmar, Scania, or OXE Diesel Engines, Aventics Marine Electronic Controls and Walker Airsep Systems.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, it has been offering yacht repair and marine engineering, including diesel engine sales, repairs, overhauls, and repowers, from Florida to the Caribbean and South and Central America since 1998, with a service team of factory-certified marine diesel engine technicians.

FHG is a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) firm delivering technical services, project management, and lifecycle support solutions to the commercial, Government, and offshore maritime sectors.

The company, based in Pompano Beach, Florida, provides practical, mission-focused solutions that optimise vessel performance, as well as being the service and parts distributor for QuantiParts B.V. legacy Wärtsilä engines, HAMANN AG wastewater systems, and Sauer Compressors USA.

According to the press release the acquisition brings together two organisations with complementary strengths and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional service to the yachting, commercial shipping, cruise, and Government marine sectors.
