Flexiteek International acquires Flexiteek Denmark
Flexiteek International has acquired its Danish distributor, bringing the business into the Flexiteek Group alongside its established operations in the UK, USA, Sweden and Poland.
Flexiteek has been creating engineered synthetic decking and marine products since 2000 with the third-generation product launching in 2024, which received a Dame Award nomination. Made using a bio-attributed PVC, Flexiteek 3 removed fossil-fuel-based PVC for the first time, and is available in 15 colours to boat builders and partners worldwide.
Headquarted in Essex, UK, and with a global network of fabricators and installers, this acquisition expands the company’s global footprint further. Its Tollesbury production location also supports global sales, warehousing, marketing, and accounts functions.
Adam Ramsden, Flexiteek Group CEO, said:
“With Flexiteek now recognised by many leading OEMs as the best solution for appearance, longevity and sustainability, it was inevitable that we would continue to expand our fabrication capabilities and expertise. We are delighted to have been able to secure this partnership, as a step-change that sets foundations for the next phase of growth.”
Flexiteek Denmark is Europe’s highest-volume fabricator of synthetic decking and this acquisition further strengthens Flexiteek’s position as the world’s largest manufacturer of synthetic PVC decking and global provider of OEM decking solutions, managing each stage from extrusion and manufacturing, through deck design and fabrication, to installation, training and after-sales support.
Flexiteek International is pleased to welcome Mikkel Svendsen, Anders Bagger and their colleagues to the Group, reinforcing a shared commitment to innovation, quality and continued growth in the marine industry.
The partnership marks the next step in a long-standing relationship between the two businesses, which have developed in parallel over the past two decades. By bringing Flexiteek Denmark into the Group, Flexiteek International Group further consolidates its global expertise, capacity and service offering
Mikkel Svenden, MD Flexiteek Denmark, commented:
“Since the introduction of Flexiteek synthetic decking over 25 years ago, we have developed our skills and expertise, working side-by-side with our OEM customers to ensure the highest level of installation quality and design innovation. This is the next phase of development for Flexiteek, and we are very happy to be part of the Group.”
Flexiteek started production in 1973 as Wilks, and in 2019 Wilks, the manufacturer and supplier of marine fendering, joined the Flexiteek Group.
