General Oceans acquires ocean technology specialists RS Aqua

General Oceans has acquired ocean technology specialists RS Aqua in a move that will strengthen the positions of both companies.

General Oceans seeks to make a difference in the world of ocean technology by leveraging the combined knowledge and business acumen of a group of innovative companies with a successful track record of bringing pioneering technologies to market. The group is structured to enable rapid funding and execution of greenfield projects to quickly respond to market needs.

Recent acquisitions in the underwater technology market include Tritech International Ltd in 2022 and Klein Marine Systems in 2023. General Oceans, with its management office in London, consists of six operating companies including Nortek (Norway), Tritech (UK), Reach Robotics (Australia), Strategic Robotics Systems (USA), and Klein Marine Systems (USA). General Oceans employs more than 300 people based in Europe, UK, US and Australia, and sectors covered include marine biology, aquaculture, defence and seabed mining.
