Company: Jetten Shipyard
Business Type: Boat Builder
The Jetten family remains closely involved and remain working at the Frisian site, which is currently experiencing a strong international growth. Jetten Shipyard has been active abroad for many years and is trendsetter by constantly development and innovation with building aluminium and steel yachts. Also because of winning the European Power Boat of the Year Award 2015 and 2017, the international interest continues to grow.
“Twenty years ago, I founded a yard with my brother Sander, after working for third parties for many years. Developing and building boats is, we both think, the most beautiful thing there is. Managing a developing company led to decreasing our attention from that more and more. By selling our shares we now can fully focus on what we are best in.”
“Operationally not much will change, I have many years of experience in managing companies, also internationally, and I think that I can give this strong growing company a solid foundation on the worldwide market. Scaling up and meeting global demands requires organisational development and safeguarding of the high quality level, which Jetten Shipyard is known for.”
Marcel Jetten will continue to focus on development and construction of custom yachts. Sander Jetten, alongside engineering, will focus on the maintenance and refit of motor yachts. The aftersales of the yard is in this way responding to the growing demand of customers, also internationally.
The Jetten Shipyard’s current order portfolio includes several yachts, among them a 23-meter Custom Yacht, Beach 45, Beach 65, series of 38 AC’s and 38 Cabrio’s, 45 AC’s, 42 MPC’s, and 41 AC Business Editions, specially developed for the rental market.
