Marine Fire Safety sold to UK Nobel Fire Systems

Marine Fire Safety has been acquired by Nobel Fire Systems, a UK-based company providing ‘special risk’ fire suppression systems, enabling it to benefit from Nobel Fire Systems’ scale and technological resources to enhance its product and servicing offering to customers.

Marine Fire Safety, with offices in Surrey and Bodmin, Cornwall, is a specialist in firefighting and lifesaving equipment for the marine industry, and is the UK’s authorised marine agents of Stat-X Aerosol Fire Suppression Systems.

The company supplies, installs and maintains firefighting and fire detection equipment for marine applications. It also provides onboard and personal life-saving appliances, including lifebuoys, pyrotechnics, EPIRBs and PLBs.

A range of commercial liferafts, immersion suits and lifejackets is available to purchase or hire through its MCA-approved service station, alongside servicing options.

Mark Bresnahan, Managing Director at Marine Fire Safety who will join Nobel Fire Systems’ board and management team, said:

Nobel Fire Systems deals in fire suppression technologies for special risk environments from its premises in Heywood, Lancashire. Its K-Series galley fire suppression system and Stat-X engine compartment fire suppression system are built to offer comprehensive fire protection to the most vulnerable areas on board.

Ian Bartle, Managing Director at Nobel Fire Systems, commented:

The two businesses have had a long-standing partnership, with Marine Fire Safety serving as Nobel Fire Systems’ exclusive UK marine distributor for many years.

Bresnahan added:

Both companies will maintain their independent operations as separate legal entities, ensuring continuity for customers while gradually exploring synergies to strengthen their combined capabilities. With plans to expand staffing and operations, this partnership signals a commitment to innovation and growth in the marine and land-based special risk fire suppression sectors.

Bartle concluded:
