Mark Bresnahan, Managing Director at Marine Fire Safety who will join Nobel Fire Systems’ board and management team, said:
“The acquisition is an exciting time for us all here at Marine Fire Safety, as we look ahead towards future growth opportunities and expansion.
“Nobel Fire Systems is not only the manufacturer of the reputable K-series suppression system but is one of the world’s largest Stat-X distributors. Through their support, we will be looking to enhance both our national and international coverage. In addition, we will have access to their extensive pool of Technical Engineers and Research and Development department, as well as increased stock availability.”
Nobel Fire Systems deals in fire suppression technologies for special risk environments from its premises in Heywood, Lancashire. Its K-Series galley fire suppression system and Stat-X engine compartment fire suppression system are built to offer comprehensive fire protection to the most vulnerable areas on board.
Ian Bartle, Managing Director at Nobel Fire Systems, commented:
“This acquisition is a natural progression for both businesses, built on years of successful collaboration. Marine Fire Safety has been instrumental in extending our high-quality fire suppression systems to the marine sector, particularly the Stat-X condensed aerosol suppression system.
“By joining forces, we’re creating a stronger, more integrated offering for our customers while maintaining the exceptional standards for which both companies are known.”
The two businesses have had a long-standing partnership, with Marine Fire Safety serving as Nobel Fire Systems’ exclusive UK marine distributor for many years.
Bresnahan added:
“Having worked closely with Nobel Fire Systems for many years, this partnership feels like a natural evolution. Together, we can leverage Nobel’s technical capabilities and operational scale to expand our reach domestically and overseas and enhance our offerings, all while continuing to prioritize our customers’ safety and satisfaction.”
Both companies will maintain their independent operations as separate legal entities, ensuring continuity for customers while gradually exploring synergies to strengthen their combined capabilities. With plans to expand staffing and operations, this partnership signals a commitment to innovation and growth in the marine and land-based special risk fire suppression sectors.
Bartle concluded:
“Marine Fire Safety has built itself a strong reputation for providing high quality safety equipment to its clients, and Mark and the team have extensive technical expertise. Bringing our operations together will only help us better serve our customers. We look forward to seeing the combined businesses go from strength-to-strength in the years to come.”
