Specialist M&A Advisory firm First Peninsula Marine confirms completion has taken place on its sale of Chichester-based Navigators Marine.
Navigators Marine, which offers comprehensive maintenance support, vessel care and repair services, was founded in 2009, and was owned and operated by Susan and Brian West for the last 15 years. They are now planning their retirement, and the company has been purchased by Peter Draper and Maria Phillips.
Maria, who has over 20 years’ experience in management and customer service, and Peter, who is an engineer, are fitting out the workshop with tooling to enable metal and woodworking in-house, along with engine servicing and tuning equipment to increase their on-site capabilities.
Maria commented:
“We are keeping as many of the old team as possible and adding some new faces to expand our engineering capabilities. New franchises are being taken on giving us the opportunity to offer some very high end products to our customers.”

Maria and Peter are looking forward to continuing the personal service that has been offered by Navigators over the years, and plan to work with the previous owner at busy times.
