The Newport International Boat Show (NIBS) has been acquired from the Newport Restaurant Group by Informa Markets’ South Florida Ventures.
NIBS is one of the largest and most prestigious boat shows in the US – now in its 53rd year, it is held over 13 acres of downtown Newport, Rhode Island with access to the deep waters of Narragansett Bay. With over 600 exhibitors and the largest in-water display in New England, both power and sail boats are represented at the show, along with marine products, services and accessories.

South Florida Ventures has expanded rapidly over the past five years, and this latest acquisition will add to the company’s growing portfolio of boating and yachting events. The recent growth has included the addition of five keystone boating and yachting shows (Yachting Promotions Inc) in 2017, and a partnership with the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association (NMMA) to run their boating and yachting events, including Miami International Boat Show, last year.
