Rib Shack Marine merges with Southampton & Portsmouth Rib Charter
Rib Shack Marine, the shared boat ownership business, has joined forces with UK charter company Southampton & Portsmouth Rib Charter.
Both companies will continue trading as their own separate brands and continue on their pathways for the foreseeable future, while sharing common infrastructure. It is expected there will be a gradual rebrand over the coming months.
Rib Shack Marine is a family-run business, founded by Colin and Helen Vine in 2003. It is based in the Southampton and Solent area, offering luxury boating lifestyle solutions. Its shared boat ownership scheme allows customers to purchase a 25% share in a boat, guaranteeing at least 13 weeks of use every year. The business offers a selection of Axopar Cabins and Ribeye RIBs.
Alongside the Shared Boat Ownership Scheme RIB Shack Marine will take care of all boat maintenance, providing customers with a full and comprehensive boat management programme, including dry stacking/berthing, engine servicing, full insurance cover, warranty management, and a valeting and refuelling service.
Colin Vine said:
“I am extremely positive for the future of what has been my passion for the last 20 years, and I am excited for the new era of Rib Shack.”

The newest iteration of the business will see Akis Zissis and Joshua Chapman become directors. Pictured are (from left) Joshua Chapman, Colin Vine and Akis Zissis.
