Twin Vee PowerCats Co. acquires Bahama Boat Works

Twin Vee PowerCats Co., manufacturer, distributor, and marketer of power sport boats, has acquired Bahama Boat Works, uniting two renowned legacies in the marine industry.

Bahama Boat Works manufactures offshore fishing boats, with every model built by hand at the headquarters in Palm Beach, Florida. Models include the Bahama 37, 35 and 41GT.

Each of its hull forms was computer designed based on data collected from over 80 years of documented planing hull research and application. Hydrodynamic efficiency is achieved by the initial design shape combined with maintaining incredibly close dimensional tolerances from the digital design program and the CNC cut model, to the lowest shrink tooling system available for the mold making process.

Twin Vee PowerCats Co. manufactures a range of boats designed for activities including fishing, cruising, and recreational use – located in Fort Pierce, Florida, it has been building and selling boats for 30 years. Its vessels are recognized for their stable, fuel-efficient, and smooth-riding catamaran hull designs. This is due to the specialist designs which include a wider footprint, shallow draft, and minimum bow rise giving greater visibility. Models include the GFX and GFX2 alongside the BayCat and STX.

This acquisition is intended to elevate Bahama Boat Works by seamlessly integrating Twin Vee’s cutting-edge innovation and engineering expertise. Twin Vee brings decades of advanced composite construction, performance-driven design, and technological leadership to the Bahama line to help ensure these vessels continue to deliver a premium boating experience.

Joseph Visconti, CEO and President of Twin Vee PowerCats Co., said:

Key to this transition is the continued involvement of master boat builder Scott Henley, one of the most prolific and respected figures in the marine industry. His leadership will ensure that the soul and quality of Bahama Boat Works will not only be preserved but will continue to thrive within the Twin Vee organisation.
